No Wednesday Worship June 26. See you July 3!
Be fed with the Word and Holy Communion along with coffee & snacks (and maybe wine, too!) as we gather together outside the sanctuary for informal worship & conversation on the week’s Bible readings. Children are welcome, too!
June 30 Worship
Sunday at 9:30am
Our guest preacher and presider this morning is The Rev. Nestor Espinoza Perez, pastor of Parroquia Luterana Sagrado Corazón (Sacred Heart Lutheran Parish), the ELCA Spanish-speaking congregation in Waukegan. He will be preaching and presiding in Spanish, and we will have interpreters assisting in worship. Our hymns and normal responses will all be in English. Come and experience a bilingual worship service!
Thanks from the Labbers!
Our high school & college youth who are headed to Leadership Lab would like to thank everyone for supporting their bake sale and car wash fundraisers this month. They money raised will offset each participating teen’s personal fees to attend lab. Thank you!
College & Trade School Scholarships Available
Submission deadline: July 15, 2019 to the church office
Scholarships are available from the St. Paul’s Scholarship Fund for any St. Paul’s member attending an accredited college or trade school (not restricted to Lutheran Colleges) to use for tuition and books.
To apply, submit a letter to the church office requesting consideration for a scholarship award stating who you are, what institution you are/will be attending, your year in school, and a few comments about what you plan to study.
A church committee will review the submission letters and determine the recipients and scholarship amounts. Award amounts vary each year.
